Week 7 of the Open Mic Nights at The Drake & Firkin was a special Halloween edition that began at 9pm (instead of the usual 8pm to midnight timeframe). As usual, a number of very talented performers showed up and performed for an appreciative audience. Being Halloween, some of the performers and the staff at The Drake & Firkin (as well as myself) dressed up for the occasion.
Thanks to new friends, Luch and Ewan, for showcasing their talents, as well as our Open Mic Night regular, Marty. It was great to see Art again (this time performing with Clint) and, although he didn’t get up this time, thanks to Guitar World’s Jim Toris for attending and lending his support. A special thanks to my friend, Jackie Fox, who came dressed as Slash from Guns ‘n’ Roses (complete with Les Paul guitar) and let me perform “Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door (GnR version)” and “Wheels (Foo Fighters)” with her onstage.
